One of the oldest antidotes for pushing through difficult times is great music. 2020 has been filled with unique and dreadful challenges, and I think that there is really no point in summarizing any of those events.
The year began with a new album of instrumental ensemble compositions, A Day Like Any Other, but the artist, Darshan Ambient, passed away just before the release day, after a struggle with cancer. Milestones Synthesizer technology that is controlled by computer software, rather than analog connector bays and rows of dials, is called Soft-Synth. Granular synthesizer music allows the composer to manipulate any sound on the particulate level, Destiny. The love of guitar sounds supported by a small ensemble, Full of Life. Synthesizers bursting with ideas: Consciousness, and other tricks of the light. Deeply meditative synthesizers, The Bodhi Mantra. Experimental generative-iterative music, Yenisei Crossing.
