Ed Bazel Wins Musician of the Year at the 2025 Josie Music Awards

Contemporary pianist and composer Ed Bazel has been named Musician of the Year

Ed Bazel has been named Musician of the Year: Piano & Keys Alumni at the 2025 Josie Music Awards, one of the largest celebrations of talent in the independent music community. Held at the prestigious Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, the annual event honored more than 200 artists across genres, with Bazel standing out among this year's exceptional award recipients.

Ed Bazel has long been admired for his pristine piano artistry, reflective compositions, and commitment to bringing comfort and peace to listeners around the world. His music has been recorded in world-class studios including Abbey Road Studios and Skywalker Sound LLC, showcasing the elegance and emotional depth of his playing.

Beyond his personal artistry, Bazel is also a passionate advocate for healing through music. His instrumental radio station, The River of Calm, offers peaceful piano music for relaxation and reflection. The station’s outreach initiative, Headphones for Chemotherapy, provides soothing music to chemotherapy patients, helping create moments of comfort during treatment.

Born in Huntington, West Virginia, Bazel began playing piano at age five. Inspired by The Beatles’ iconic appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, he grew into a celebrated composer with multiple accolades from the InterContinental Music AwardsWorld Entertainment Awards, and Clouzine International Music Awards.

His latest album,
A Weekend in Marin, continues to receive acclaim for its tranquil, cinematic interpretation of the California Pacific coastal landscape. Two accompanying videos—“California Sunrise” and “Pacific Drive”—offer listeners an immersive visual escape into Ed’s world of calm, beauty, and introspection.
